Ingredients

  • 150 grams or 1 1/8 cup of flour
  • 20 grams or 2 and a half tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 125 grams or 1/2 cup of room temperature butter
  • 50 grams or 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 50 grams or 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 room temperature egg
  • 3/4 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a stand mixing bowl with the beater attachment at speed 2 for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. If you don’t have a stand mixer, you can use a hand mixer by adding the butter and sugar and beating until it gets mixed. Then add the egg and mix again until combined. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder and add the dry mixer into the butter. Then with a spatula, fold all the ingredients and add the chocolate chips after mixing the flour.
  4. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, depending on your oven. Keep your eye on them.
  5. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and allow them to cool before eating.
